Pair stone tops with bases in antique brass, blackened steel, or solid oak to shift the visual weight without compromising stability. Materials That Age With Intention

Unfilled travertine reveals its pitted surface and fossil record. Honed marble offers a matte finish that resists fingerprints while maintaining the depth of veining. Bases in warm metallics or hand-rubbed steel provide contrast without competing for attention. When placed over a 6 x 9 rug in wool bouclé or cashmere, the table becomes a fulcrum—anchoring the arrangement while allowing sculptural lighting and mirrors to define the room's vertical plane. Stone does not ask for approval. It simply exists, and everything else arranges itself accordingly.
